Currency Exchange

Exchange between your balances - fiat to crypto, crypto to fiat, or crypto to crypto.

How it works#

1.
Preview rates (optional) - check indicative rates with Get Rates.
2.
Lock the rates - call Create Lock. The response contains the locked rates of all currencies.
3.
Calculate the result (optional) - calculate the amount you will receive from the locked rates, as described in Create Lock.
4.
Execute - call Create Exchange with the lockId, the source and destination balances and the amount, before the lock expires.
5.
Track the status - receive webhooks or check the status with Get Exchange Details.

Good to know#

A lock is valid for about 45 seconds (see validUntil) and can be used only once. Retrying a request with the same lockId never creates a second exchange.
The exchange fee is defined by exchange.feePercent of the source balance and charged in the destination currency.
The minimum amount for each source balance is returned by Get Balances (exchange.minAmount).
